A Wedding Cake Episode

It has been a long time since I wanted to see him work and how he makes those amazing looking and very delicious cakes. Yes, I am talking about the man behind LV Patisserie - LV (Elvy) Leivang.

Finally I got the chance to see him work. He said he was making a wedding cake and invited me behind closed doors. I knew I would have a great time since he promised free cake.

So Rri and I went over to his bakery - and we were not disappointed.

Elvy and I go way back to college days in Hyderabad. He always had good food at his place. It was always a treat to visit him and his sister.

Now he has become this great pastry chef which I only see on shows like "Bake Off" or some cake shows. It was simply a pleasure to see him work.

As he finished decorating the cake with luster spray I began clicking away on my camera. I was standing opposite him and I did get some sparkles on my shirt, but that's part of the job.

It was raining and the clouds didn't quite cleared up. Elvy place the cake under a big bulb to set and the light gave a fantastic radiance to the cake which I was more than willing to capture.

The cake looked even more impressive with its golden shine and contrast of green and of course  little jewellery chains flowing out.

The day was great, we had enormous amount of cakes and chocolate and good company. Couldn't ask for a better way to spend a day.

Also do visit and LIKE Elvy's page on Facebook. Go to LV Patisserie and hit the LIKE button.

Perspective

The gesture, what do you perceive? An act of loving kindness; of a beggar asking for bread; of a friend’s heed ad infinitum; or of your paramour, your soul-mate, your forever-more?

A Day at a Film City

No, I am not getting paid for this (but thinking about it, maybe I should :D). Anyway, I had a great opportunity to visit the Guinness certified world's largest film studio complex in the world. The Ramoji Film City, a 1,666 acre plot of land is home to a diverse complex of family fun and film industry business. Situated some kilometers outside Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, it is quite an experience.

I had been studying in the city (Hyderabad) for almost five years, but I never had the chance to visit most of its landmarks and renowned places - which at present since I no longer am out of state, I do regret it. But life gives you more chances and I wasn't going to miss out on this one.

As you enter the complex, you will find some interesting architecture.

Its easy to bedazzled by some,
and others are way too strange
 for my comprehension.

Oh yea, don't let the enormity of the area stress you. There are guided tours everywhere. And from personal experience, just follow the crowd. Chances are that you are always under schedule the whole time, even without you knowing it. As soon as one event finishes, the next starts. It certainly is an experience but make sure your fit enough to enjoy everything. For a Fluffy person like me, too much fun can be exhausting. :D

The guided tour bus takes you around the major part of the complex. If you only understand English then it maybe wise to ask your guide to speak more of it during the tour.

The entry cost around Rs 760/- however, it is all worth it as all rides and shows are complimentary . And for that money, you'll know its worth it at the end of the day. You can get complimentary lunch at Dil Se...fantastic food and yes, you can get seconds.

Every where you look around, you'll see the thoughts that has been given into creating this place. Gardens, parks, and other complexes are adorned with beauty and theme.

Ramoji Film City is an experience that will stay in the memory for a long time.

Also, don't forget to visit the Ramoji Movie Magic. The fun still continues.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures. Please rate and leave comments. Thanks...
